Agricultural volunteering for Monsoon season
About volunteer project: – Agricultural volunteering in Nepal is the best experience to explore indigenous local technologies and learn them accordingly. Monsoon season is the busiest season in Nepal in terms of planting paddy seedlings and farmers take it as like a festival of work. People prepare paddy planting field by removing or making underground all kinds of weeds, use pair of oxen to plough the field, people plant the uprooted seedlings. It will be much fun and excitement to be an agriculture volunteer.
Rice is one of the major crops of Nepal. Monsoon season is suitable to plant it because of adequate rainfall and appropriate climate.
Lamjung district lies in the western part from the capital city of the Nepal, Kathmandu. Agriculture is backbone of Nepali farmers. In this area people follow traditional method for agriculture, they use ox for plough. Most of people think that monsoon season is very terrible but we think that monsoon season is best time to visit Nepal. And we also celebrate paddy plantation day.
Most of people from this area speak Nepali but also speak English a little, and some of older mother and father they do not speak English but they speak by their heart and that won’t be difficult to understand.
